tvOS 18.2 Update Does Not Include New Apple TV+ Screen Savers

Apple is always shaking things up with their updates, and the upcoming tvOS 18.2 is no different. This new update will bring a rotation of Snoopy screen savers to Apple TV models released in 2021 and later. However, it seems like Apple might have hit pause on another exciting feature.

Initially, Apple had teased a whole new category of screen savers called “TV and Movies” that were going to be inspired by some of Apple TV+’s best series and movies. One of these screen savers was even based on the hit series “Foundation.”

But recently, eagle-eyed fans over at the Dutch blog iCulture noticed that Apple quietly removed any mention of these “TV and Movies” screen savers from their website. Not only that, but they also made a sneaky change to their fine print, at least in the U.S. for now.

Originally, the fine print mentioned the arrival of both Snoopy and “TV and Movies” screen savers in late 2024. However, with the recent update, the fine print now only talks about the Snoopy screen saver. So, it seems like we might have to wait a bit longer to see those Apple TV+ inspired screen savers.

While Snoopy is a great addition, it looks like fans of Apple TV+ will have to be patient for a little while longer. So, stay tuned for more updates, and let’s see what other surprises Apple has in store for us with tvOS 18.2!
