Wolfs 2 Sequel Cancelled by Director Jon Watts Due to Trust Issues with Apple TV+

Jon Watts, the director of the film Wolfs, has shared some disappointing news for fans. Despite the success of the first movie starring Brad Pitt and George Clooney, Watts has confirmed that Wolfs 2 is no longer in the cards.

After its release on Apple TV+, Wolfs quickly became the most-viewed film on the platform. A sequel was initially in the works, but in a recent interview with Collider, Watts explained that he doesn’t believe Wolfs 2 will be happening anymore.

Watts spoke to Deadline and revealed the reason behind this decision. He mentioned that he felt disillusioned with Apple TV+ after they unexpectedly changed their plans for the film’s release. Initially promised a wide theatrical release, the movie was instead sent straight to streaming, catching Watts off guard. He was so taken aback by this sudden shift that he requested Apple not announce the sequel, which they did anyway in a press release.

This turn of events has left Watts doubtful about moving forward with Wolfs 2. Despite Apple’s enthusiasm for the project initially, the director’s loss of faith in the platform has led to the sequel being shelved for now.
