Star Wars Skeleton Crew Disney+ Release Date Moved Up – SEO Optimization
Disney has some exciting news for Star Wars fans! The release date for the new series, Skeleton Crew, has been moved up a day. Originally set to debut on December 3, the show will now premiere on Disney+ with a special two-episode release on December 2 at 6pm PT.
Skeleton Crew is described as a Star Wars version of The Goonies, featuring Jude Law as the Force user, Jod Na Nawood. The series is set during the same time period as The Mandalorian and takes place after the events of Return of the Jedi. Fans can look forward to some fun Easter eggs, including references to the 1978 Star Wars Holiday Special and the appearance of Teeks from Ewoks: The Battle for Endor.
Disney has also shared a list of each episode’s release date and their respective directors in a tweet. The eight-episode series will conclude on January 14, 2025. Make sure to mark your calendars for the two-episode series premiere on December 2!
In addition to Skeleton Crew, Disney has a lineup of other exciting Star Wars projects in the works. Fans can expect Andor Season 2 to debut on April 22, 2025, and Ahsoka: Season 2 is set for 2026. There are also plans for a new Star Wars trilogy led by Simon Kinberg, which will not be a continuation of the Skywalker Saga. Instead, a sequel to the polarizing Star Wars: Episode 9 – The Rise of Skywalker is in the works, focusing on Rey as she works to rebuild the Jedi Order around 15 years after the events of that film.
Exciting times are ahead for Star Wars fans, so stay tuned for more updates!
