Showrunner defends Netflix show against rushed criticisms

In an exclusive interview with GamesRadar+, Arcane showrunner Christian Linke addressed fan concerns about the pacing of the show’s second season. He acknowledged that some viewers felt the season was rushed, with certain episodes cramming in a lot of plot and speeding through relationships. While most fans seemed happy with the season, Linke recognized that there were some who were disappointed with the changes in pacing compared to the first season.

Linke explained that the creative team took some risks with the structure of season 2 to try new things and keep the story fresh. However, he acknowledged that not everyone would be satisfied with these choices, as some fans wanted more League of Legends champions and storyline development, while others felt overwhelmed by the fast-paced plot. Linke expressed his understanding of these varied opinions, stating that they were doing their best to strike the right balance in telling the story.

Despite the mixed reactions, Linke emphasized that they were committed to delivering an engaging and fulfilling story in season 2. He acknowledged the challenges of meeting the expectations of a diverse fan base but assured viewers that they were working hard to create a satisfying viewing experience. Arcane season 2 is now available for streaming on Netflix.
