Paramount+ and Showtime Release Official Trailer for “Dexter: Original Sin”
Paramount+ with SHOWTIME debuted the official trailer for the highly anticipated prequel “DEXTER: ORIGINAL SIN.” The series will premiere on Friday, December 13 for Paramount+ subscribers with the SHOWTIME plan, with the US on-air debut set for Sunday, December 15 at 10 pm ET/PT. For international viewers, the series will be available exclusively on Paramount+ in multiple countries on December 13.
“Dexter: Original Sin” takes viewers back to 1991 Miami, following Dexter (played by Patrick Gibson) as he navigates his journey from a student to a vigilante serial killer. Guided by his father, Harry (portrayed by Christian Slater), Dexter adopts a Code to eliminate individuals from society without raising law enforcement’s suspicions. Balancing his bloodthirsty urges with a forensics internship at the Miami Metro Police Department presents a unique challenge for him.
The cast includes Molly Brown, Christina Milian, James Martinez, Alex Shimizu, Reno Wilson, with special guest stars Sarah Michelle Gellar and Patrick Dempsey. Michael C. Hall returns to voice Dexter Morgan’s iconic inner monologue.
Executive produced by Clyde Phillips, the series is a collaboration between SHOWTIME Studios and Counterpart Studios. The team also includes Scott Reynolds, Michael C. Hall, Mary Leah Sutton, Tony Hernandez, and Lilly Burns, with Robert Lloyd Lewis as the series producer and Michael Lehmann as the directing executive producer.
