Apple’s December Launches and Surprises to Anticipate or Ignore
As the year winds down, Apple is gearing up to roll out some exciting new updates and releases in December. One of the biggest highlights is the upcoming iOS 18.2 software update, packed with a host of new features that are sure to enhance your iPhone experience. From creating custom emojis with Genmoji to accessing ChatGPT’s knowledge through Siri, there’s a lot to look forward to with this update.
Even if your device doesn’t support Apple Intelligence, you can still expect some great upgrades with Apple Mail’s biggest redesign ever, new Camera Control features, Find My updates, and more. Plus, there will be Sudoku daily puzzles in Apple News for News+ subscribers, among other small updates.
For those who love using Mac Virtual Display on Vision Pro, visionOS 2.2 is bringing some major upgrades, including new display settings, higher screen resolution, and improved audio playback directly from the Vision Pro.
But it’s not just iOS and visionOS getting updates—other Apple platforms are also receiving solid upgrades. iPadOS 18.2 will include the big iOS features along with the exclusive Image Wand feature for Notes, while macOS Sequoia 15.2 brings new Apple Intelligence features and more.
Apple TV+ is continuing its streak of releasing new episodes throughout December, with Fly Me to the Moon making its streaming debut. And Apple Arcade is introducing 8 new titles in December, including FINAL FANTASY IV and PAC-MAN 256+.
Unfortunately, there won’t be any new hardware releases from Apple this December, but the Black Friday week discounts on AirPods Pro 2, iPad mini 7, Apple Watch Series 10, Apple Watch Ultra 2, and M3 MacBook Air are definitely worth checking out.
