Whiskey on the Rocks premiering on Disney+
The hit TV show Friends is set to leave Netflix at the end of the year. Fans of the popular sitcom have been binge-watching the series on the streaming platform for years, but will soon have to find another way to get their fix.
The show will be moving to HBO Max, WarnerMedia’s new streaming service, which is set to launch in May 2020. Friends will be joining other popular shows like The Big Bang Theory, South Park, and The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air on the platform.
Many fans are upset about the move, as they have grown accustomed to watching Friends on Netflix. However, WarnerMedia paid a whopping $425 million for the rights to stream the show for five years, so it’s clear that they see the value in having Friends as part of their lineup.
If you’re a die-hard Friends fan, you may want to consider subscribing to HBO Max when it launches next year. Until then, you still have a few months left to rewatch all your favorite episodes on Netflix before they disappear.
