Apple’s ‘Drops of God’ Wins Best Drama at International Emmy Awards
The International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences hosted the 2024 International Emmy Awards in New York, celebrating outstanding television from 21 countries. It was a night of excitement and recognition for the best in global television.

In the Best Drama category, Apple TV+’s “Drops of God” emerged victorious, beating out tough competition like “The Newsreader,” “Yosi, the Regretful Spy,” and “The Night Manager.”
Renowned British actor Timothy Spall took home the Best Actor award for his performance in the BBC true-crime series “The Sixth Commandment.” Aokbab-Chutimon Chuengcharoensukying won Best Actress for her role in the Thai drama “Hunger.”
The comedy category saw Argentina’s “División Palermo” snag the prize, highlighting a group of people from social minorities forming a neighborhood protection guard. The series surpassed contenders like Australia’s “Deadloch,” South Korea’s “Daily Dose of Sunshine,” and France’s “HPI.”
Overall, it was a night filled with well-deserved accolades for talented actors, series, and creators in the global television landscape.
