Top Artists for 2024 Billboard Music Awards: Zach Bryan, Taylor Swift, Morgan Wallen, Sabrina Carpenter

The 2024 Billboard Music Awards are just around the corner, and the excitement is building! Zach Bryan, Taylor Swift, Morgan Wallen, and Sabrina Carpenter are the frontrunners this year, with multiple nominations each. Hosted by the talented Michelle Buteau, the awards show is scheduled to air on Thursday, Dec. 12 at 8:00 pm ET/PT on Fox and Fire TV Channels, as well as on-demand on Paramount+.

This year, the BBMAs are making a comeback to Fox after many years, and Paramount+ will be providing on-demand streaming of the show. Fans using Amazon devices can easily access the show through the Fire TV Channels app. Jay Penske, chairman and CEO of PMC and Dick Clark Productions, expressed excitement about having the show available across multiple platforms, giving fans more ways to engage with the music and artists they love.

The show promises to deliver exclusive performances, artist interviews, and award celebrations from various global locations, even amidst sold-out tours. Shaboozey will be giving a special performance from W Hollywood, which is part of Marriott Bonvoy’s portfolio. The BBMAs are all about celebrating music’s biggest achievements, recognizing artists, albums, songs, producers, and songwriters across different genres. The eligibility dates for this year’s awards are aligned with Billboard’s Year-End Charts tracking period, covering music consumption from October 28, 2023, through October 19, 2024.

Leading the pack of finalists this year is Zach Bryan, with an impressive 18 nominations. Taylor Swift, the most decorated female artist in BBMAs history, is a finalist in 16 categories. Morgan Wallen, who took home the most BBMAs last year, is back with 15 nominations this time around. Sabrina Carpenter also secured a spot in the top finalists list with nine entries.

This year, three new awards have been added – Top Hard Rock Album, Top Hard Rock Artist, and Top Hard Rock Song. Artists like Falling in Reverse, Linkin Park, and HARDY are prominently featured in these categories. Cross-genre recognition is also being awarded to artists like Beyoncé, Dolly Parton, and Post Malone.
