“Stream ‘Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice’ on Max Starting Dec. 6”

Warner Bros. Pictures’ highly-anticipated sequel, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, will be premiering on Max for global streaming on December 6th. For those who prefer traditional viewing, the film will also be airing on HBO linear the following day at 6:10 p.m. ET. The physical media release of the movie on DVD, Blu-ray Disc, and 4K Ultra HD occurred on November 19th. Fans of the original film from 1988, which was a box office hit with earnings of $451 million worldwide, will be excited to see director Tim Burton back to work with stars Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder, and Catherine O’Hara, among others.

The plot centers around the Deetz family, coping with a sudden loss and dealing with unexpected supernatural occurrences in their hometown of Winter River. As Lydia (Ryder) grapples with the return of the mischievous Beetlejuice (Keaton), her daughter Astrid (Jenna Ortega) stumbles upon a mysterious model town in the attic, inadvertently opening a portal to the Afterlife. Chaos ensues in both worlds, leading to Beetlejuice’s chaotic return.

Aside from the familiar faces, new cast members such as Justin Theroux, Monica Bellucci, Arthur Conti, and Willem Dafoe bring fresh energy to the sequel. Special versions of the film will also be available to accommodate even more viewers, including an American Sign Language (ASL) version for the U.S. and Europe and a Língua Brasileira de Sinais (LIBRAS) version for Brazil. These versions were produced in collaboration with Sophia Morales and Andrey Baptista, respectively, making the film accessible to a wider audience.
