Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 2 Recasts Major Character
Fans of Percy Jackson and the Olympians are in for a treat as Courtney B. Vance joins the cast as Zeus for season 2! Vance steps into the role previously held by Lance Reddick, who sadly passed away before the release of the first season.
While Reddick’s portrayal of Zeus set the bar high in the first season, Vance is ready to bring his own unique spin to the character. Vance expressed his excitement for joining the cast and paid tribute to Reddick, acknowledging the big shoes he has to fill.
As we look forward to season 2, based on Rick Riordian’s The Sea of Monsters, we can expect to see new faces joining the cast. Andra Day will play Athena, Daniel Diemer as Tyson, and Tamara Smart as Thalia Grace, among others. The new season promises to delve deeper into the world of Percy Jackson and the Olympians, with captivating storylines and characters.
Production for season 2 is currently underway, and while we don’t have a release date yet, we can anticipate its arrival on Disney+ in late summer or fall of 2025. Keep an eye out for more updates on Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 2—we can’t wait to see what’s in store!
