Netflix Acquires Israeli Series ‘Bad Boy’ from North Road
Netflix has snagged the Israeli series “Bad Boy” from the original “Euphoria” creator, Ron Leshem. The show, produced by North Road, will premiere on Hot, an Israeli network, before hitting Netflix globally early next year.
“Bad Boy,” which first premiered on Hot this week, follows the story of Dean, a young man trapped in a harsh juvenile detention center. Behind bars, Dean forms a deep bond with Zoro, a mysterious fellow inmate serving time for murder. Dean learns to channel his intelligence and creativity during his time in jail, eventually becoming a successful comedian. However, his past in prison threatens to resurface and unravel his life.
The series features a talented cast including Daniel Chen, Havtamo Farda, and Guy Manster. Ron Leshem serves as the showrunner, with Hagar Ben-Asher taking on the role of writer-director. With its captivating storyline and talented team behind the scenes, “Bad Boy” is sure to be a hit when it premieres on Netflix worldwide.
