MrBeast, also known as Jimmy Donaldson, has been working hard on this competition series, which offers a $5 million grand prize. In a teaser trailer posted on Monday, MrBeast shared his excitement, revealing that the show took over a year to create, broke 40 world records, and features 1,000 players. The trailer gives a glimpse of the show’s challenges, including monster trucks, a pirate ship, and contestants jumping out of a helicopter.
The show seems to draw inspiration from the popular Netflix series “Squid Game,” with contestants in blue track suits and assistants dressed similarly to the pink guards in the Korean show. While MrBeast has gained massive popularity on YouTube for his outrageous stunts and giveaways, not everyone is thrilled about their experience on “Beast Games.” In fact, a lawsuit was filed against MrBeast, his production company, and Amazon by five contestants who took part in the initial rounds of filming. The lawsuit alleges mistreatment of the participants, including depriving them of basic necessities, not paying minimum wages or overtime, and subjecting them to harassment and dangerous conditions.
