Mercedes Moné eager for Tony Khan to introduce MAX Championship
One of the top promotions in the world of professional wrestling is the Tony Khan-led company, All Elite Wrestling. Starting January 1, 2025, the Jacksonville-based promotion will be streaming live on HBO Max. Recently, current AEW TBS Champion Mercedes Moné expressed her excitement about the new deal and the future of AEW.
During the AEW Full Gear Post-Show Media Scrum, Mercedes Moné shared her thoughts on the HBO Max deal. She mentioned that she had already spoken to HBO Max and that the streaming service is eagerly awaiting AEW’s debut in January. Moné also raised the idea of introducing a new championship called the Max Championship to Tony Khan.
“It feels so good. It feels like money. I know, I’ve already talked to HBO MAX. They love me. They’re so ready for us in January. We are so ready for the new year. I am already ready for 2025 Tony. I mean…Everything. I just feel like we’ve already announced so many amazing things in 2025. I’m ready for it. I know we’re still in November, there’s so much more exciting things to come in December. But 2025 is going to be such an exciting time for AEW and to be the TBS Women’s Champion is exciting and I just hope one day, maybe you [Tony Khan] can make a Max Title too for me to hold. You know how much I love the gold, Tony,” Mercedes Moné expressed.
