Hulu and Fox Streaming Contract Extension Explained
Hulu and Fox have announced an extension of their streaming partnership, ensuring that Hulu will remain the streaming home for Fox content for the next four years. This new agreement includes in-season streaming rights for Fox’s programming slate and an expanded marketing alliance between the two companies.
According to Deadline, this deal is valued at more than $1.5 billion over four years, including ad-load. This means that popular Fox originals like “RESCUE HI-SURF,” “MURDER IN A SMALL TOWN,” and “ANIMAL CONTROL,” along with long-running Disney-produced programs like “THE SIMPSONS,” “FAMILY GUY,” and “BOB’S BURGERS,” will continue to be available on the platform.
In a statement, Fox Entertainment CEO Rob Wade expressed excitement about the partnership, highlighting the success and growth that Hulu and Disney Entertainment have brought to Fox’s content. Hulu’s general manager, Lauren Tempest, emphasized the platform’s commitment to offering current Fox hits and key titles to subscribers, thanks to their partnership with Fox.
This extension of the Hulu and Fox streaming contract solidifies Hulu’s position as the go-to platform to catch your favorite Fox shows, both live and on-demand. With a slew of popular titles in the lineup, subscribers can continue to enjoy a wide range of scripted, unscripted, and animated series for years to come.
