Guest Cast and Trailer for Laid: A Twisted Romantic Comedy Series on Peacock
Coming soon to Peacock is the twisted romantic comedy series, Laid, and we now have a fun trailer to give us a taste of what’s in store, along with the announcement of some new additions to the cast! Stephanie Hsu, Zosia Mamet, Michael Angarano, and Tommy Martinez have welcomed Simu Liu, Kate Berlant, and Alexandra Ship, along with a bunch of other big stars.
The show is all about a woman who’s discovered that her ex-lovers are meeting mysterious deaths. With eight episodes on tap, Laid will dig into a past that’s coming back to haunt her—literally. Based on a beloved Australian series, the new show is set to mix traditional rom-com feels with dark and dangerous undertones because, well, why not?
The minds behind this bold mash-up, showrunners Nahnnatchka Khan and Sally Bradford McKenna, have shared their hopes for Laid: a romance story for our time, full of love and suspense, meant to melt your heart and also make you peek through your fingers at all the thrills and chills. Meet Ruby (played by Stephanie Hsu) and her best friend AJ (played by Zosia Mamet), as they chase down Ruby’s exes all in the hopes of, um, saving them from a terrible fate?
