College Girls’ Sex Lives Influence Renee Rapp’s Season 3 Departure

Everyone’s favorite show, The Sex Lives of College Girls, is in the spotlight again. Leighton, played by Renee Rapp, is gearing up for a big exit in Season 3. During the season premiere, Leighton found herself in a sticky situation after being the only one enrolled in an accelerated math course at Essex College in Vermont. But with no class to attend after a chaotic commute to the University of Vermont, she was thrown a curveball—there might be a spot for her at the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Boston.

Interestingly, Boston is where Leighton’s girlfriend Alicia, portrayed by Midori Francis, was just offered an exciting job. Without giving too much away, this storyline seemed to reference Rapp’s song “I Hate Boston.” Even though Leighton is on the way out, Rapp, at 25 years old, is still expected to grace our screens a bit more before her final departure to MIT. Rapp shot to fame for her portrayal of Leighton and has continued to impress with her music career, releasing her debut album, Snow Angel, in 2023.
