Production has officially kicked off for the fifth and final season of the hit series The Boys, as confirmed by a new behind-the-scenes cast photo.

Laz Alonso, known for his role as Mother’s Milk in The Boys, excitedly shared the cast photo on his Instagram, captioning it with “And just like that… we’re back!” It’s great to see the cast reuniting to start work on the last season of this beloved Prime Video show.

From the looks of the photo and the fact that it was taken in Toronto, Ontario, where The Boys is filmed, it’s evident that the cast and crew are gearing up for another thrilling season.

In the photo, we spot familiar faces like Jack Quaid, Karl Urban, Antony Starr, Jessie T. Usher, Chace Crawford, Karen Fukuhara, and more. And while Erin Moriarty, Jensen Ackles, and Jeffrey Dean Morgan are not in the picture, they are confirmed to make a return in the final season as well.

The fourth season of The Boys wrapped up on July 18, 2024, and even though a release date for Season 5 hasn’t been announced yet, we know it will be the show’s grand finale. Showrunner Eric Kripke previously mentioned that a five-season run was always the plan, promising a climactic and epic ending to the series.

But fear not, as Prime Video has plans to expand the universe of The Boys with spin-off series like Gen V and a Mexico-based spin-off in the works. Additionally, a prequel series titled Vought Rising is set in the 1950s, featuring familiar faces from The Boys like Jensen Ackles and Aya Cash reprising their roles.
