Beetlejuice fans, rejoice! The long-awaited follow-up to Tim Burton’s classic 1988 supernatural comedy is finally here. ‘Beetlejuice Beetlejuice’ will start streaming exclusively on Max on December 6, with a premiere on HBO linear the following day at 6:10 p.m. ET.

The sequel reunites Burton with original cast members Winona Ryder, Catherine O’Hara, and Michael Keaton. This time, the story follows Lydia Deetz (Ryder) as an adult still grappling with her encounters with the mischievous ghost, Betelgeuse (Keaton). When Lydia’s rebellious teenage daughter, Astrid (played by Jenna Ortega), stumbles upon a mysterious model of the town in the attic, things take a supernatural turn.

The film made a splash at the Venice Film Festival and features newcomers like Willem Dafoe, Justin Theroux, Arthur Conti, and Monica Bellucci. With a script penned by Alfred Gough & Miles Millar, the movie promises to deliver the same quirky charm and eerie fun that fans have come to love.

So mark your calendars for December 6 and get ready to dive back into the whimsical world of Beetlejuice!
