Poppy Liu from Tales of the Walking Dead stars in Netflix comedy series No Good Deed
Poppy Liu, known for her roles in Hacks, The Afterparty, and Tales of the Walking Dead, is set to star in a new Netflix comedy series called No Good Deed. This black comedy follows three families vying to buy a “dream house” in Los Angeles, unaware of the nightmares it may bring. Created by Liz Feldman, known for Dead to Me, No Good Deed features a star-studded cast including Emmy Award winners Ray Romano and Lisa Kudrow, alongside Linda Cardellini, Luke Wilson, Teyonah Parris, Abbi Jacobson, Denis Leary, and O-T Fagbenie.
The series, set to premiere on Netflix on December 12, 2024, consists of eight half-hour episodes and is described by Feldman as being set in the picturesque yet dark neighborhood of Los Feliz in Los Angeles. Kudrow and Romano play The Morgans, sellers of the house, caught in a chaotic situation as they hide the dark secrets within the home they are trying to sell.
No Good Deed also stars Poppy Liu as Sarah, the moral compass in a couple alongside Abbi Jacobson’s Leslie. The pair excitedly pursue the house they have long admired, only to uncover their own secrets in the process. If you haven’t seen Liu in Tales of the Walking Dead alongside Anthony Edwards, you’re missing out. This apocalyptic anthology spinoff showcases Liu and Edwards in the episode “Amy/Dr. Everett,” playing spirited settler Amy and naturalist Dr. Everett in the Dead Sector. The entire series is available on AMC+.
