Netflix’s Biggest Shows Disrupted by Worst Streaming Leak in History

Netflix is working hard to address a major content leak that impacted some of its biggest shows, like Squid Game and Arcane. The leak, connected to post-production studio Iyuno, led to the early release of episodes online. To combat this, Netflix has obtained a court order requiring Discord to share information about a user allegedly involved in the leak. Both Netflix and Iyuno are actively investigating to prevent future leaks and protect their content.

Earlier this year, Netflix faced a significant leak that exposed full episodes and promotional material from several popular series before their official release. This breach posed a serious threat to Netflix’s intellectual property and production schedules. In response, Netflix stated, “One of our post-production partners has been compromised and footage from several of our titles has unfortunately leaked online. Our team is aggressively taking action to have it taken down.”

Now, Netflix is seeking the help of Discord to identify the people responsible for the breach. According to reports, “Netflix is looking toward Discord for help in figuring out who, exactly, is leaking unreleased footage from some of its popular shows.”

A court in the Northern District of California issued a subpoena demanding Discord to provide information about a user, @jacejohns4n, accused of sharing a copyrighted image from the unreleased second season of Squid Game. This legal action is part of Netflix’s broader effort to uncover the individuals behind the leak and protect its content from unauthorized distribution.

The leak has been traced back to a security breach at Iyuno, a post-production company that partners with major streaming platforms like Netflix, Amazon Studios, BBC, Disney, and HBO. Iyuno confirmed the breach, stating, “We are actively investigating this security breach to mitigate any potential risks and identify the responsible parties.” Netflix and Iyuno are working together to prevent future breaches and safeguard their content.
