Max/HBO has officially launched in Asia, bringing a fresh campaign that promises to captivate audiences. Created by VML Indonesia and produced by Filmgraphics Entertainment and director Matt Murphy, the campaign dives deep into the worlds of popular Max/HBO content like Dune, House of the Dragon, Harry Potter, and Friends.
The goal of the campaign is to showcase how great films and TV shows can transport us into their universes. By blending iconic scenes from these beloved properties with real-life experiences, the campaign aims to create a memorable journey into the magic of cinema and television.
Director Matt Murphy meticulously planned the concept, using previz to ensure seamless interaction between actors and existing footage. The production took place in Bangkok over three days, with both location shooting and set construction. Post-production was handled by Cutting Edge Brisbane.
According to Anna Fawcett, executive producer at Filmgraphics Entertainment, working with a director of Matt Murphy’s caliber made the process smoother. The support of Indochina Productions and Cutting Edge was also crucial for the success of the campaign.
With a focus on bold storytelling and cinematic visuals, the campaign sets a high standard for Max/HBO in Asia, showcasing the platform’s diverse and captivating content. It’s an exciting time for fans in the region as they get to experience their favorite shows in a whole new way.
