Amazon Introduces Exciting New Feature for Leafs Broadcast Tonight
The Toronto Maple Leafs are set to be among the first NHL teams to introduce a new and innovative broadcast feature, offering fans a unique viewing experience from the comfort of their homes. This new feature, called "Home Ice Access," will be available for 45 minutes prior to the Maple Leafs’ upcoming game against the Tampa Bay Lightning on Prime Video.
Fans tuning in to the "Home Ice Access" livestream will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the sights and sounds of the arena before the game begins. The feature will showcase live views from multiple cameras positioned inside the arena, capturing scenes from the concourse, locker-room level corridors, fan arrivals, and even providing a close-up view from a ‘seat on the glass’ during player warm-ups.
The Prime Monday Night Hockey content, including the "Home Ice Access" feature, will be accessible to viewers in Ontario and the rest of Canada with an internet connection and an Amazon Prime account. Prime members will have access to the weekly games at no additional cost, while non-Prime subscribers can opt for a monthly subscription of $9.99 or an annual subscription for $99.
Viewers can easily access the Prime Video app on most major devices as long as they have a stable internet connection. A full list of compatible devices is available on the Prime Video website for reference.
The game against the Tampa Bay Lightning marks the first of six Toronto Maple Leafs regular season games that will be exclusively streamed on Prime Video. The remaining games, including matchups against the Winnipeg Jets, Chicago Blackhawks, San Jose Sharks, and Calgary Flames, will also be available for streaming on Prime Video as part of the English broadcast schedule.
This initiative by the Toronto Maple Leafs and Prime Video aims to enhance the fan experience by providing a more immersive and interactive way to enjoy the game from home. With the introduction of "Home Ice Access," fans can look forward to a new and exciting way to engage with their favorite team and players during game nights.
