Star Trek: Section 31 premiere date and character posters unveiled at New York Comic Con

Paramount+ announced during New York Comic Con that Star Trek: Section 31, the first-ever non-theatrical film in the franchise, is set to debut on January 24, 2025. The movie will feature Michelle Yeoh reprising her role as Emperor Philippa Georgiou from Star Trek: Discovery. In this installment, Georgiou becomes part of the secretive division of Starfleet known as Section 31, a group first introduced in Deep Space Nine and referenced in various Star Trek media since then. The storyline revolves around Georgiou confronting her past actions while safeguarding the Federation, as detailed in the official description of the film.

Along with the premiere date announcement, Paramount+ unveiled a series of character posters spelling out "SECTION" in pink against a vibrant yellow backdrop. The posters feature Michelle Yeoh as Georgiou, Omari Hardwick as Alok, Sam Richardson as Quasi, Kacey Rohl as Rachel, Humberly González as Melle, Sven Ruygrok as Fuzz, and Robert Kazinsky as Zeph.

The teaser trailer for Star Trek: Section 31 was revealed during Paramount’s Star Trek Universe panel at NYCC, showcasing Michelle Yeoh’s character.
