Michael Fassbender, Richard Gere, and More Star in New Spy Thriller on Paramount+
Paramount+ continues to diversify its content offerings beyond the success of the "Yellowstone" franchise. One of the highly anticipated additions to its library is the upcoming drama series titled "The Agency."
Set to premiere later this fall, "The Agency" delves into the story of a deep cover special agent who must return to headquarters, leaving behind the life he has known for over six years. The star-studded cast includes Michael Fassbender, Richard Gere, Jeffrey Wright, and Jodie Turner-Smith. While Fassbender has previous TV experience with "Band of Brothers," this series marks his first leading role in a television show.
Expressing his admiration for the TV medium, Fassbender shared, "I’ve never done a TV series as the lead, so I’ve got a lot of respect for it. It’s a jam-packed schedule, you’ve got to move fast, you’ve got to get things done, but I’m really, really enjoying it."
Initially set to be directed by George Clooney, who also serves as a producer, the series underwent a change with Joe Wright taking over some of the directing duties. "The Agency" is an adaptation of the French series "Le Bureau des Légendes."
While an exact release date for "The Agency" is yet to be announced, it is scheduled to debut on Paramount+ in the late fall. The series promises to offer viewers an intriguing narrative and compelling performances from its talented ensemble cast.
The anticipation for "The Agency" is high, as fans eagerly await the unveiling of this gripping new drama series on Paramount+ in the coming months. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting addition to the streaming platform’s lineup.
