Season 2 Premiere Date and First-Look Photo Revealed for ‘Bad Sisters’

Apple TV+ has announced that the Season 2 premiere of Sharon Horgan’s dark murder-mystery series, “Bad Sisters,” is scheduled for Wednesday, November 13. The second season will kick off with two episodes, followed by a weekly release every Wednesday until December 25 exclusively on Apple TV+. The show continues to delve into the lives of the Garvey sisters, portrayed by a talented cast including Sharon Horgan as ‘Eva,’ Anne-Marie Duff as ‘Grace,’ Eva Birthistle as ‘Ursula,’ Sarah Greene as ‘Bibi,’ and Eve Hewson as ‘Becka.’

Set two years after the “accidental death” of Grace’s abusive husband, the Garvey sisters find themselves entangled in a web of past truths that resurface, throwing them back into the limelight. As suspicions rise, secrets are unveiled, and the sisters are compelled to navigate a maze of deception to determine who they can trust.

The new and returning cast members for Season 2 include Fiona Shaw, Owen McDonnell, Thaddea Graham, Barry Ward, Michael Smiley, Saise Quinn, Daryl McCormack, Yasmine Akram, Jonjo O’Neill, Peter Claffey, Deirdre Mullins, Lorcan Cranitch, Liz Fitzgibbon, and Justine Mitchell.

The debut season of “Bad Sisters” received critical acclaim, securing BAFTA Television Awards for Best Drama Series and a Best Supporting Actress win for Anne-Marie Duff. Additionally, the series garnered a Peabody Award and landed four Emmy Award nominations, marking a significant milestone with Horgan’s first lead actress nomination and recognition for Outstanding Casting, Writing, and Directing in a Drama Series. The show has also been acknowledged by the Writers Guild of America, the Critics Choice Awards, the Royal Television Society, and the Irish Film and Television Awards.

Executive produced by Sharon Horgan, Faye Dorn, and Clelia Mountford for Merman, with Dearbhla Walsh serving as an executive producer and director, “Bad Sisters” is a collaborative effort with Bert Hamelnick, Michael Sagol, Dave Finkel, and Brett Baer. The series is an adaptation of the Belgian show “Clan,” created by Malin-Sarah Gozin, who also serves as an executive producer. “Bad Sisters” is produced by Merman Television and ABC Signature, a division of Disney Television Studios.
