Peter Stormare and 27 More Cast in Netflix’s Thriller ‘Jo Nesbø’s Detective Hole’

Peter Stormare, known for his role in “Fargo,” is set to join the cast of the upcoming Netflix crime series “Jo Nesbø’s Detective Hole.” The series, based on the novels by Norwegian author Jo Nesbø, will feature a total of 28 new additions to the ensemble.

In addition to Stormare, the cast will include Anders Baasmo, Ellen Helinder, Simon Berger, Ingrid Bolsø Berdal, and Kelly Gale, among others. Director Anna Zackrisson has also been added to the production team, which will star Tobias Santelmann, Joel Kinnaman, and Pia Tjelta.

“Jo Nesbø’s Detective Hole” follows the story of renowned anti-hero detective Harry Hole, portrayed by Santelmann, in a whodunnit serial killer mystery. The series delves into the complex dynamics between two police officers, Harry and his corrupt counterpart Tom Waaler, played by Kinnaman. As Harry battles his inner demons and confronts ethical dilemmas within the criminal justice system, he must race against time to apprehend a serial killer and bring Waaler to justice.

Created and written by Jo Nesbø, the show will be co-directed by Øystein Karlsen. The extensive ensemble cast includes Kåre Conradi, Fridtjov Såheim, Eili Harboe, Atle Antonsen, and many more, each contributing to the intricate narrative of the series.

Produced by Tor Arne Øvrebø, the series is a collaboration between Working Title Television and Universal International Studios. Executive producers include industry veterans such as Tim Bevan, Eric Fellner, and Katy Rozelle. The highly anticipated show is scheduled to premiere on Netflix in 2026.
