‘Bad Sisters’ Teases Saucy First Look for November Comeback

Apple TV+ has announced the highly anticipated return of the Garvey sisters in the second season of “Bad Sisters,” set to premiere on November 13. The dark comedy, created by BAFTA Award-winning executive producer Sharon Horgan, follows the tumultuous lives of the five Garvey sisters: Eva, Grace, Ursula, Bibi, and Becka.

The storyline kicks off with Grace’s abusive husband’s mysterious death, leading to the sisters becoming entangled in a life insurance investigation. The narrative unfolds through two timelines, one preceding John Paul’s demise as the sisters plan their actions, and the other following his death as an insurance agent delves into the truth behind the incident.

In the upcoming eight-episode second season, set two years after John Paul’s “accidental” passing, the Garvey sisters find themselves back in the spotlight as buried secrets resurface. The season promises heightened suspicions, deceit, revelations, and a struggle to discern allies from foes, as highlighted in a press release.

Joining the returning cast for Season 2 are Fiona Shaw, Owen McDonnell, Thaddea Graham, Barry Ward, Michael Smiley, Saise Quinn, Daryl McCormack, Yasmine Akram, Jonjo O’Neill, Peter Claffey, Deirdre Mullins, Lorcan Cranitch, Liz Fitzgibbon, and Justine Mitchell. The first season of “Bad Sisters” garnered critical acclaim, securing two BAFTA Television Awards and a Peabody, along with four Emmy nominations.

Adapted from the Belgian series “Clan” by Malin-Sarah Gozin, who also serves as an executive producer, “Bad Sisters” is a production of Merman Television and ABC Signature, under the stewardship of executive producers Sharon Horgan, Faye Dorn, Clelia Mountford, and Dearbhla Walsh. Additional executive producers include Bert Hamelnick, Michael Sagol, Dave Finkel, and Brett Baer.

The return of “Bad Sisters” promises to captivate audiences with its intricate storytelling, compelling characters, and suspenseful twists as the Garvey sisters navigate through a web of lies, betrayal, and family dynamics in the upcoming season.
