Netflix currently working on 80 new games in development

Netflix is set to expand its collection of mobile games with the introduction of over 80 new titles, with plans to release a new game each month starting in July. This announcement was made during the recent earnings call by Netflix Co-CEO, President & Director Gregory K. Peters, where he highlighted the company’s commitment to enhancing its gaming offerings. Peters mentioned, “We’ve launched over 100 games so far. We’ve seen what works, what doesn’t work. We’re refining our program to do more of what is working with the 80-plus games that we currently have in development.”

These upcoming games will fall under the category of “interactive narrative games” and will be based on popular Netflix IPs such as Emily in Paris and Selling Sunset. Referred to as Netflix Stories, these games will have their dedicated section within the Netflix app. The primary goal of these games is to engage users and promote the exclusive content available on the streaming platform.

While the announcement of new games is exciting, one title, in particular, may not pique everyone’s interest. Perfect Match: The Game might not appeal to all users, but Netflix also offers a range of third-party games that are free for subscribers. These games include popular titles like The Case of the Golden Idol, Krispee Street, Spiritfarer, and more. These third-party games add diversity to Netflix’s gaming library and cater to a wide range of gaming preferences.
