Verizon Introduces New Streaming Bundle: Free Netflix Premium for Peacock Subscribers
Verizon is once again making waves in the bundling business with its latest offer. The telecommunications giant is providing customers of its wireless and home internet services a complimentary year of Netflix Premium, valued at $22.99 per month, if they commit to a year of Peacock Premium at $7.99 per month.
Peacock Premium stands out by offering subscribers the ability to stream on four devices simultaneously, compared to Netflix’s standard plan that allows for two streams. Additionally, Peacock Premium provides select content in 4K resolution, a feature not available in other Netflix tiers, and does not subject users to advertisements.
The free year of Netflix Premium equates to a savings of $275.88 for customers taking advantage of this bundled offer. This move is in line with Verizon’s strategy of aggressively promoting bundled services within the consumer wireless industry. In the past, Verizon has bundled the $6.99 Netflix Basic with Ads alongside the $9.99 ad-supported Max for a total of $10 per month. They have also previously offered packages that combine Netflix Premium with Starz Play.
Last month, Verizon expanded its bundling options for “myPlan” customers on the unlimited wireless side to include Fios and fixed-wireless home internet customers under the new “myHome” perks package.
This latest offer from Verizon underscores the company’s commitment to providing added value to its customers through innovative bundling strategies. By combining popular streaming services like Netflix and Peacock, Verizon aims to enhance the entertainment experience for its subscribers while offering cost-effective solutions for accessing premium content.
Verizon’s continued focus on bundled-service promotions reflects the evolving landscape of the telecommunications industry, where companies are increasingly looking to differentiate themselves and provide added value to consumers through strategic partnerships and offerings.
