Disney+ releases exciting trailer for ‘No Way Out: The Roulette’
Disney+ has recently unveiled a trailer for its upcoming original K-drama, No Way Out: The Roulette. This crime-thriller drama centers around police officer Baek Joong-sik, portrayed by Cho Jin-woong from Signal, who is tasked with protecting the life of a notorious criminal, Kim Guk-ho, played by Yoo Jae-myung from Reply 1988, following his release from a 13-year prison sentence.
In the newly released trailer, it is revealed that a mysterious vigilante, known for assigning rewards for random acts based on the spin of a roulette wheel, has marked Kim Guk-ho as a target. With a substantial reward of KRW15 billion at stake, various factions set their sights on eliminating Kim.
As Kim Guk-ho is released from prison, Baek Joong-sik informs him of the dangerous predicament and takes on the role of his police guard, navigating through the multiple threats and assassination attempts directed at Kim.
No Way Out: The Roulette also features Kim Moo-yeol as Lee Sang-bong, a lawyer representing Kim Guk-ho who argues that his client’s rights are being violated. Yum Jeong-ah, known for her role in SKY Castle, portrays An Myeong-ja, a formidable politician, while actor-comedian Lee Kwang-soo takes on the character of butcher Yoo Chang-jae, who is on a quest to recover a significant sum of lost money.
The K-drama is slated to consist of eight episodes and is scheduled to premiere on Disney+ on July 31. Notably, the late actor Lee Sun-kyun was initially cast to play officer Baek Joong-sik but withdrew from the project in October 2023 following allegations of involvement in a drug investigation.
In addition to No Way Out: The Roulette, Disney+ has also released a trailer for another K-drama titled The Tyrant, set to debut in August. The series, led by Cha Seung-won and Kim Seon-ho, delves into the turmoil that unfolds after a dangerous government-developed biochemical enhancer is stolen.
These latest offerings from Disney+ promise to deliver captivating storylines and compelling performances, adding to the diverse array of content available to fans of K-dramas and international television alike.
