New Trailer Released for Disney+ Film “The Supremes At Earl’s All-You-Can-Eat”
Disney+ is gearing up for the premiere of the highly anticipated film “The Supremes At Earl’s All-You-Can-Eat,” set to debut on 23 August in Australia. Based on Edward Kelsey Moore’s best-selling novel, the movie delves into the enduring friendship of three women known as “The Supremes” – Odette, Barbara Jean, and Clarice, portrayed by Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, Sanaa Lathan, and Uzo Aduba, respectively. The narrative follows their unbreakable bond as they navigate new challenges, including heartache and health issues.
Bringing this poignant story to the screen is Searchlight Pictures, with a stellar cast that includes Ellis-Taylor, recognized for her roles in “King Richard” and “The Color Purple,” alongside Lathan, known for “Love & Basketball” and “The Best Man,” and Aduba, acclaimed for her work in “In Treatment” and “Orange is the New Black.” The film is directed by Tina Mabry, known for her work on “Mississippi Damned,” “Queen of the South,” and “Pose,” who also co-wrote the screenplay with Cee Marcellus.
Supporting the lead trio are talented actors such as Mekhi Phifer, Julian McMahon, Vondie Curtis Hall, and Russell Hornsby, as well as emerging stars like Kyanna Simone, Tati Gabrielle, and Abigail Achiri. The film’s production team boasts industry veterans Marty Bowen, Wyck Godfrey, and Isaac Klausner from Temple Hill, with a crew that includes costume designer Whitney Anne Adams, music supervisor Robin Urdang, composer Kathryn Bostic, editor Tariq Anwar, production designer Kara Lindstrom, and director of photography Sean McElwee. The hair and makeup departments are led by Andrea Jackson and Dionne Wynn, respectively.
