‘Bear Season 3 Draws Record 5.4 Million Views in Four Days on Hulu’

The Season 3 premiere of “The Bear” on Hulu has garnered significant attention, with Disney reporting a remarkable 5.4 million views within the first four days of streaming. This milestone not only marks the best performance for an FX premiere on Hulu but also stands as the most-watched season premiere for any scripted series on the platform. When considering unscripted series as well, “The Bear” Season 3 ranks as Hulu’s third-largest season premiere to date.

Disney further highlights that Season 3 of “The Bear” has seen a 24% increase in views compared to the Season 2 premiere within the same timeframe. This growth trend follows the show’s previous success, as Season 2 witnessed a substantial 70% surge in viewership. The consecutive seasons of growth underscore the show’s enduring popularity and positive reception among audiences.

The viewership figures encompass both Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ in the U.S., as well as Disney+ in international markets where the episode was accessible. Notably, the collaboration with Disney+ has significantly contributed to the season’s success, with the season achieving the most substantial Hulu on Disney+ premiere since the bundle’s launch in March.

In Season 3 of “The Bear,” viewers are reintroduced to familiar characters such as Carmy (Jeremy Allen White), Sydney (Ayo Edebiri), Richie (Ebon Moss-Bachrach), and the rest of The Bear staff as they navigate the challenges of running a restaurant in its early days. The ensemble cast also includes Abby Elliott, Lionel Boyce, Liza Colón-Zayas, Matty Matheson, Oliver Platt, and Molly Gordon.

“The Bear” was conceptualized by Christopher Storer, who co-showruns the series with Joanna Calo. The duo also serves as executive producers alongside Josh Senior, Cooper Wehde, Tyson Bidner, Matheson, and Hiro Murai. Courtney Storer assumes the roles of co-executive producer and culinary producer, with FX Productions serving as the studio behind the popular show.
