‘ZOMBIES: The Re-Animated Series Takes the Undead Back to School’
The popular undead high school characters are making a comeback in the new “ZOMBIES: The Re-Animated Series.” Set in Seabrook during senior year, the show brings back beloved characters for more adventures. Unlike a typical season arc, each episode offers a standalone story, providing viewers with a fresh experience every time they tune in.
Transitioning from live-action filming to an animated series presented a unique challenge for the cast. Recording their parts individually meant they had to rely on their own creativity and imagination. Chandler Kinney, who portrays Willa, highlighted the additional creative challenge this presented for the actors. Despite the physical distance during recording, the collaborative environment facilitated by the creative team allowed for a seamless flow of ideas and interactions between the cast members.
Kylee Russell, known for her role as Eliza, shared insights into the dynamic of recording separately but still maintaining a sense of connection with her fellow castmates. This familiarity with each other’s delivery styles enabled them to anticipate responses and maintain the chemistry that fans have come to love.
Meg Donnelly, who plays Addison, echoed the sentiment, emphasizing how the strong bond among the cast members transcended the physical separation during recording. The camaraderie and mutual understanding among the actors enhanced the experience of bringing their characters to life in the animated series.
For a glimpse into the fun behind the scenes, Donnelly and Milo Manheim, who portrays Zed, playfully imitated each other in a video, showcasing their off-screen chemistry and camaraderie.
“ZOMBIES: The Re-Animated Series” is set to premiere on Friday, June 28 on Disney Channel, with streaming available the following day on Disney+. Fans can look forward to more exciting adventures with their favorite undead high schoolers as they navigate senior year in Seabrook once again.
