Rogers TV Subscribers Offered Complimentary Access to Disney+
Rogers TV customers are in for a treat with the offer of a free ad-supported version of Disney+ just in time for the premiere of the third season of The Bear. Disney+ is now included in select plans such as the Ignite Total TV plan, starting from $160 per month. This plan provides access to up to 163 channels, 150Mbps Internet speeds, and the Ignite Entertainment Box rental with 200 hours of cloud storage and recordings kept for up to one year. Alternatively, customers can choose the Ignite Popular TV plan, priced from $135 per month, which includes access to up to 117 channels, 150Mbps speeds, and the box rental with 200 hours of cloud storage. It’s worth noting that plan options may vary depending on the area, but all plans will come with the Disney+ Standard with Ads plan.
For those not subscribed to a Rogers TV plan, Disney+ on its own costs $14.99 per month after a recent price increase. The Disney+ Standard With Ads plan, which is part of the Rogers TV offer, is valued at $7.99 per month. This plan offers up to 1080p full HD video, two concurrent streams, and up to 5.1 audio. However, it does not allow downloading content for offline viewing, and it remains unclear whether streaming to mobile devices will be supported.
Bret Leech, President of Residential Services at Rogers, expressed the company’s commitment to enhancing customer value and providing a seamless viewing experience by integrating Disney+ into their entertainment packages. This move aims to make it easier for customers to enjoy their favorite shows and movies. Justin Connolly, President of Platform Distribution at Disney Entertainment, highlighted the strong partnership between Rogers and Disney. He emphasized that by including Disney+ content in Rogers’ premier TV packages, they are prioritizing consumer convenience and meeting customer needs effectively.
Disney+ stands as the go-to streaming platform for a wide range of content, including movies and shows from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic, and more. The platform also offers exclusive original programs, documentaries, live-action and animated series, as well as short-form content.
