Apple TV+ Original Series ‘WondLa’ Takes Viewers on a New Adventure

Skydance Animation is set to premiere its new animated trilogy, WondLa, on Apple TV+ on June 28. The 3DCG adventure is based on the popular book series “The Search for WondLa” by Tony DiTerlizzi, following the story of Ava, a curious teenager raised in an underground bunker by a robot caretaker.

The series features Jeanine Mason as the voice of Ava and Teri Hatcher as Muthr, the robot caretaker. On Ava’s 16th birthday, an attack on her bunker forces her to the Earth’s surface, now known as Orbona, where she encounters aliens and other-worldly creatures. Joined by Otto, a giant water bear with telepathic powers voiced by Brad Garrett, and Rovender, an alien with a troubled past voiced by Gary Anthony Williams, Ava embarks on a quest to find humans, her home, and her true destiny.

In an exclusive clip, Ava is seen enjoying a ride with the top down and music blasting. Bobs Gannaway serves as the showrunner and executive producer, with a cast that includes Chiké Okonkwo as Besteel, D.C. Douglas as Omnipod, and Alan Tudyk as Cadmus Pryde.

The executive producers of WondLa include DiTerlizzi, Gannaway, Ellen Goldsmith-Vein, Jeremy Bell, Julie Kane-Ritsch, and Skydance Animation’s John Lasseter, David Ellison, and Dana Goldberg, with Tony Cosanella as producer.

The upcoming animated trilogy promises a thrilling and visually stunning adventure for viewers, as Ava navigates a world filled with mysteries and challenges in her quest for truth and belonging. With a talented voice cast and a creative team behind the scenes, WondLa is poised to captivate audiences with its unique storytelling and captivating animation.
