Alfonso Cuarón’s Limited Series Sets Premiere Date on Apple TV+

Apple TV+ has recently given viewers a sneak peek at their upcoming series, “Disclaimer,” and announced that the seven-episode limited series is set to premiere globally on Friday, October 11, 2024. The show will kick off with its first two episodes, with new episodes scheduled to release every Friday until November 15, 2024.

“Disclaimer” is a captivating psychological thriller comprising seven chapters and features Academy Award winners Cate Blanchett and Kevin Kline in leading roles. The series, written and directed by five-time Academy Award winner Alfonso Cuarón, is an adaptation of the bestselling novel of the same name by Renée Knight. The storyline revolves around renowned journalist Catherine Ravenscroft, played by Blanchett, who has built her career by exposing the wrongdoings of others. However, her life takes a chilling turn when she receives a novel penned by an anonymous author, revealing her deepest secrets and casting her as the central character.

As Catherine embarks on a quest to unmask the mysterious writer, she is confronted with her past, forcing her to confront her own demons before they jeopardize her relationships with her husband, Robert (portrayed by Sacha Baron Cohen), and their son, Nicholas (played by Kodi Smit-McPhee). The ensemble cast also includes Lesley Manville, Louis Partridge, Leila George, and Hoyeon, adding depth to the narrative.

“Disclaimer” is a production of Esperanto Filmoj and Anonymous Content, with Cuarón serving as an executive producer alongside Gabriela Rodriguez and David Levine from Esperanto Filmoj, and Steve Golin from Anonymous Content. Renée Knight, the author of the original novel, is onboard as a co-executive producer. The series boasts cinematography by acclaimed professionals Emmanuel Lubezki and Bruno Delbonnel, known for their work on award-winning films like “Gravity,” “Birdman,” and “The Revenant.” The musical score for “Disclaimer” is composed by Finneas O’Connell, a multi-award-winning artist recognized for his work on projects such as “Barbie” and “No Time to Die.”
