According to the press release, the series promises an unfiltered and candid look behind the scenes of one of music’s most legendary periods. Each episode aims to capture the madness and unbridled ambition that captivated music enthusiasts and continues to shape culture today.

Director Tremaine expressed his enthusiasm for the project, calling it a tribute to the most outrageous decade in rock n’ roll. Nöthin But a Good Time: The Uncensored History of the ‘80s Hair Metal is executive produced by Tremaine and Shanna Newton for Gorilla Flicks, along with a team of producers from Wheelhouse’s Spoke Studios, MTV Entertainment Studios, and others. Beaujour and Bienstock, the authors of the original book, are serving as co-executive producers.

In related news, the annual Monsters of Rock Cruise has unveiled its 2025 lineup, featuring several prominent ’80s hard rock and hair metal acts. Among the performers are Stephen Pearcy from Ratt and Nuno Bettencourt’s band Extreme, both of whom are also part of the docuseries.
