Netflix Renews ‘The Vince Staples Show’ for Season 2
Netflix has renewed The Vince Staples Show for a second season. The comedy was first announced in 2022. Set in Long Beach, CA, the fictional series is loosely inspired by Staples’ life. Staples has released four studio albums, Summertime 06, Big Fish Theory, FM! and his self-titled album in July 2021. Recurring guest stars on the show are Vanessa Bell Calloway and Andrea Ellsworth. Other guest stars have included Naté Jones, Rick Ross, Arturo Castro, Scott MacArthur, Bryan Greenberg, and Myles Bullock.
Executive produced by Staples, Kenya Barris (Khalabo Ink Society), Corey Smyth, Edelman (Edelgang), Williams, and William Stefan Smith, the show follows the daily adventures of Vince Staples, a character who is kind of famous, kind of rich, and kind of a criminal, but not entirely fitting any of those descriptions. Anything that can go wrong usually does in his world.
