Miranda Derrick Breaks Silence with First Post Following Dancing for the Devil: The 7M TikTok Cult Documentary Launch
Netflix released its latest investigative documentary, Dancing for the Devil: The 7M TikTok Cult, on 29 May. The documentary delves into allegations against a management company accused of being a religious cult. It features former members who have escaped and are trying to rebuild their lives, as well as parents of dancers still trapped in the cult. One such parent is Kelly and Dean Wilking, pleading for their daughter’s return in the trailer. Miranda Derrick, deeply involved in the cult, has denied being held against her will in the past.
In terms of the documentary, Miranda has yet to acknowledge its release and has been active on social media. Two days after the programme aired, she shared a video of her dancing with her husband, James ‘BDash’ Derrick. Miranda also posted another video dancing to Whitney Houston’s I’m Every Woman with Kendra ‘KO’ Willis, who was listed as a 7M dancer in 2022.
The 7M influencer management company, run by Shekinah Church pastor Robert Shinn, faces accusations of fraud, forced labor, and human trafficking in the documentary. While victims have come forward with allegations of sexual assault and abuse, no charges have been made against Shinn at this time.
Despite efforts by the Wilking family to remove Miranda from the company, she has stated that she is not held against her will and has the freedom to pursue her faith and career elsewhere. She expressed excitement about her marriage, career, and faith, looking forward to mending her relationship with her family privately.
