FX to Premiere Season One of Popular Hulu Series ‘The Bear’ for Television Audience

The first season of the Award-winning series The Bear is getting a broadcast run on FX as the third season is set to premiere soon.

The show, which has been exclusively streaming on Hulu, will have a special marathon starting on Sunday, June 2nd. Two episodes will air each night at 10pm ET for four nights, concluding with the penultimate and season one finale on Wednesday, June 5th.

The Bear follows the story of young chef Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto, who inherits his brother’s sandwich shop and, with the help of his cousin Richie and new sous Chef Sydney, transforms it into a fine dining establishment in the second season.

Created by Christopher Storer, the series stars Jeremy Allen White as Carmy, Ayo Edebiri as Sydney, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Richie. The first season premiered in June 2022, followed by the second season in 2023.

The Bear received critical acclaim right from the start, winning ten Emmy awards for its first season, including Outstanding Comedy Series, Lead Actor for White, and Outstanding Supporting Actress for Edebiri, along with awards for writing and directing.

ABC previously aired the first season of Only Murders in the Building over four consecutive Tuesday nights, following editing to meet network standards. Paramount also found success with Yellowstone on CBS, airing the first season on Sunday nights.

The decision to air streaming shows on linear channels during programming gaps due to industry strikes may help attract more viewers and potentially increase subscription numbers for the streaming platforms.

The Bear will air on FX from June 2nd to June 5th at 10 pm ET. Season three premieres on Hulu on June 27th.
