HBO Max’s new TV and movie releases for June 3-9, 2024 include Dakota Johnson’s Am I OK? and Julio Torres’ Fantasmas.
Starting June 6, Thursday, HBO Max subscribers can tune in to check out Am I OK? starring Dakota Johnson. Lucy navigates several unsuccessful dates with men, leading her to realize her sexual orientation may be different. Lucy seeks help from her best friend Jane to discover her identity. Comedian Tig Notaro co-directed this movie with Stephanie Allynne from a screenplay written by Lauren Pomerantz.
Then on June 7, Friday, Fantasmas hits HBO Max. This HBO original comedy created by Julio Torres follows a man who loses a golden oyster, leading him on an interesting odyssey to recover it. Along the way, he encounters numerous quirky and strange people. The show will include guest appearances from celebrities like Alexa Demie and Emma Stone.
Also releasing on HBO Max this week is Keanu, a 2016 action crime-comedy movie following a group of friends who plot to retrieve a stolen cat by disguising themselves as street gang drug dealers. Jordan Peele and Keegan-Michael Key are in lead roles in the film. The supporting cast includes Keanu Reeves as the voice of the eponymous cat, Tiffany Haddish, Method Man, Darrell Britt-Gibson, Jason Mitchell, and Luis Guzman.
