Amazon has released a trailer for the new documentary Federer: Twelve Final Days, offering a glimpse into the professional tennis career of Swiss star Roger Federer. The film chronicles the last 12 days of Federer’s time in the tennis world, following his announcement of retirement in 2022 after winning 20 Grand Slam titles.

The documentary captures a more vulnerable and candid side of Federer, initially recorded as a home video never meant for public viewing. It showcases his farewell to the sport and the fans that have been a significant part of his life for the past two decades.

Featuring interviews with Federer’s fellow tennis stars and friends Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, and Andy Murray, the film provides insights into Federer’s legacy and impact on the sport.

Directed by Asif Kapadia and Joe Sabia, Federer: Twelve Final Days is a production of Prime Video Sports in collaboration with Lafcadia Productions. The documentary will have a limited theatrical release starting June 13 and will premiere on Prime Video on June 20.
