Brandon Jay McLaren Cast in Netflix’s ‘Tall Pines’ for Upcoming Season

Brandon Jay McLaren has joined Mae Martin’s limited series Tall Pines for Netflix. The eight-episode project from Martin, Ryan Scott, Ben Farrell, and Objective Fiction and Sphere Media explores the insidious underbelly of the troubled teen industry in a sinister town. McLaren’s role details are under wraps.

Tall Pines is a thriller that delves into the eternal struggle between generations in a bucolic yet dark setting. Martin, the creator, co-showrunner, and executive producer, will also play a lead role in the series, one of Netflix Canada’s initial commissions.

Martin co-showruns the series with Scott, who is also an executive producer. Farrell, known for his work on Feel Good and The Gold, executive produces alongside Hannah Mackay, Jennifer Kawaja, and Bruno Dubé. Sphere Media is producing the show.

McLaren’s recent appearances include roles in The Cleaning Lady, Snowfall, The Rookie, Everything’s Trash, Turner & Hooch, Ransom, Graceland, Firefly Lane, Girlfriends’ Guide To Divorce, and The Killing. He is represented by Buchwald, Berwick & Kovacik and Trisko Talent Management.
